Visitors exploring an interactive museum exhibit

Museum & Cultural Technology Studio

Exhibits people move through, not past.

Interactive Museums designs and builds touch, motion, projection, and AR/VR exhibits for museums, science centres, and heritage sites — technology built for public space, shaped around your collection.

What we do

The exhibit is the technology. The technology should disappear.

Most museum visitors don't come to look at a screen — they come to look at a collection. Our job is to build the touch wall, the projection, the sensor floor, or the AR layer so well that it feels like part of the room, not a piece of equipment bolted onto it.

We work directly with curators, educators, and exhibit designers from the first sketch through years of after-opening support — hardware, software, content, and installation, handled as one project instead of four separate vendors.

Why interactive

Built for visitors, curators, and the next ten years.

Engagement & Dwell Time

Visitors stay longer and remember more when they're doing something, not just reading something.

Accessible By Design

Low-mobility, low-vision, and neurodivergent visitors are considered from day one, not bolted on after.

Built For Public Space

Commercial-grade hardware and interfaces that hold up to thousands of hands a week.

Content You Control

Your curators and educators can update most exhibits without calling us first.

How we work

From first walkthrough to opening day.

01

Discover

We walk your space, meet your curators, and figure out what story needs telling, and where.

02

Design

Concepts, wireframes, and content plans you sign off before anything gets built.

03

Build

Hardware sourcing, software builds, and content production happen in parallel.

04

Install & Train

We fit it into your space and train your team to run and refresh it.

05

Support

Ongoing maintenance, content updates, and a real phone number when something needs attention.

What we build

Representative concepts across our services.

Interactive Walls

Natural History Orientation Wall

A lobby-scale touch wall guiding visitors from entrance to gallery, built around a live collection feed.

Augmented Reality

Heritage Site AR Trail

A phone-based AR trail that reconstructs a ruined wing, gallery by gallery, on visitors' own devices.

Interactive Floors

Children's Science Floor

A motion-sensing floor that turns basic physics into a playground for a young science gallery.

Let's design your next gallery.
